F-1 World Grand Prix is a racing simulation for the Nintendo 64 .

Gameplay

F-1 World Grand Prix simulates the complete 1997 Formula 1 World Championship . At the beginning, the player can choose any team and driver and start a career.

The vehicle has to be optimized before each race, including choosing the right tires, the angle of the spoilers, etc. Unplanned events such as weather changes, accidents and technical problems must also be taken into account.

  • Grand Prix
  • Single race
  • Challenge
  • Time trial

Two players can compete against each other on the split screen .

reception

The game received good reviews at the time, only the unstable refresh rate and other minor flaws were criticized.

Trivia

Due to licensing problems, the driver Jacques Villeneuve is not available, but the driver Williams drives in his place, but can be renamed as desired. Furthermore, the MasterCard Lola team is missing , as it only entered the opening race in Australia and then withdrew from the rest of the season.
