FAW Jilin Automobile is an automobile manufacturer from the People's Republic of China .
Company history
From April 29, 1983, there was the Jilin Light Truck Company , which manufactured vehicles of the Jilin brand. On June 28, 1991 the takeover by the China FAW Group and the re-establishment as FAW Jilin Light Vehicle Plant took place . The seat remained in Jilin . The brand name was initially retained and only changed to FAW in 1999 . In 2004 the company name was changed to FAW Jilin Automobile . In 2008 there were 1066 employees.
