FC Barcelona Museum

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FC Barcelona Museum (Catalan name: Museu del FC Barcelona ) is a sports museum in Barcelona , in which the history of the entire sports club is presented from the beginning to the present. In addition, the numerous trophies of the FC Barcelona teams are displayed here .

The museum was inaugurated in 1984 by President Josep Lluís Núñez . Since then it has been expanded three times and now covers a total area of 3500 m². With 1.2 million visitors a year it is on the one hand the most visited football museum in the world and on the other hand the best-visited museum in the city after the Museu Picasso .

The museum is integrated into the Camp Nou , the stadium of FC Barcelona. After a renovation in summer 2010, the appearance of the museum has completely changed. The first part of the museum houses the FC Barcelona trophy collection, and the visitor can interactively experience the history of the club on audiovisual touch screens . A tour of the Camp Nou follows a museum visit. On this tour you can visit the press room, the dressing room of the away team, the commentary booths and the coaching benches. In addition, you can experience the entry into Camp Nou from a “player's perspective”, accompanied by well-rehearsed fan chants.
