The FC Baulmes is a Swiss football club from Baulmes in the canton of Vaud . He plays in the 3rd division , the seventh highest division in the country. From 2004 to 2007 the club played in the Challenge League , the second highest league in Switzerland.

It was founded in July 1940 . Until 1984, FC Baulmes played exclusively in the 4th division and then rose to the 3rd division. In 1996 he was promoted to the 2nd division , in 2001 the promotion to the 1st division , the highest amateur class.

FC Baulmes celebrated its greatest success so far in June 2004 when it was surprisingly promoted to the Challenge League . In 2007, however, (in the last second) had to go back to the 1st division. The club is exceptionally successful in relation to the population of the village (almost 1000 inhabitants) - with the result that sometimes more spectators are present at the games in the Stade Sous-Ville, which has been rebuilt after the renovation , than the village has inhabitants.
