history

FC Dahn was founded on November 14, 1913. First, the footballers competed in the lowest division, before the club rose to the A class from the mid-1920s . In 1934 and 1936, the team made it to the second-rate district league, but refrained from participating for cost reasons.

After the Second World War , FC Dahn was one of the founding members of the 1st Amateur League West Palatinate , but rose in 1950 after two seasons from the then third-highest division. In the mid-1950s, the club returned to the road to success. Although the team only missed promotion to the amateur league southwest in 1956 and 1957 in the promotion games against the amateurs of 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1. FSV Mainz 05 , they won the association cup. In 1959, the club finally prevailed in the promotion round and entered the top amateur division until 1966 . After relegation, the club said goodbye to high-class amateur football for a long time, and it was not until 1991 that they returned to the now fourth-class association league. After the introduction of the regional league in 1994, meanwhile only fifth class, the club rose to the sixth league in 1999 and in 2006 had to stop playing completely for one season due to a lack of players.
