Podosferikós Sýllogos I Kalamáta ( Greek Ποδοσφαιρικός Σύλλογος Η Καλαμάτα ) is a football club from Kalamata , Greece , and plays in the third division, Group C.

history

The association was founded in 1967 through a merger of Apollon Kalamata and other local associations.

The team first made it to the first division in 1974 , but only lasted two years. It then took 20 years to play in the first division again.

In 1992 businessman Stavros Papadopoulos bought the team when they were still in the third division. Only three years later, the team played again first class. In the 1999/2000 season the best result was achieved with 9th place. In the Intertoto Cup , they played against FK Chmel Blšany , but lost with 0: 5 and 0: 3.

After Papadopoulos withdrew from the club, the club sagged back to the second division in 2001 . The club is now only in third class .
