Akanda Football Club is a Gabonese football club .

history

The association was founded in 2006 by Frédéric Gassita. The club was initially a pure football talent academy before it was converted into a senior football team in 2010. Sapins plays with the establishment of the semi-professional team in the Championnat d'Elite, the top division in Gabon . In July 2012, coach Obame Bekouré was replaced by the Cameroonian U-20 World Cup participant from 1993 Patricé Andomo . After the club did not win the championship as expected, coach Patrice Andomo was replaced by Frenchman Yves Brécheteau in November 2012. In July 2014, the club was renamed Akanda FC after moving to Akanda, the district of the same name in Libreville .

Stadion

The club from Libreville played its home games at the Stade Augustin Monédan de Sibang and has been playing at the Stade Idriss-Ngari d'Owendo since spring 2012.
