The FC The Belval Belvaux is a Luxembourg football club from Sassenheim .

history

The association was founded in 1908 as The Bel-Val Belvaux . In 1914 the merger with The Sportsmen Belvaux to form FC The Belval Belvaux took place .

After the German occupation of Luxembourg in 1940, the club was renamed FV Beles . In 1944 it was renamed.

In 1960, The Belval was offered third of the honorary doctorate for the first time the opportunity to advance to the highest Luxembourg league, the national division . Because of the exclusion of Alliance Dudelange from the national division, there were playoffs against CS Fola Esch . After two games each ended 1: 1 after extra time , The Belval lost 1: 6 in the third game.

Two years later, he was promoted to the national division. The Belval did not manage to stay in league and rose at the end of the 1962/63 season with only two wins and two draws from 22 games from bottom of the table.

Since then, the club has moved between the honorary doctorate and the 2nd division (fourth division).

successes

In 2012, The Belval won the Coupe FLF , the national cup competition for clubs in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd division (third to fifth division) with a 1-0 win over Etoile Sportive Clemency .
