The FIFA Fair Play Days are intended to remind people of fairness and fair play in sport.

history

FIFA Fair Play Days were introduced in 1997. On the occasion of the FIFA Fair Play Days, the following message is to be read over the stadium loudspeakers at the beginning of every football game: The football family is celebrating FIFA Fair Play Day today. FIFA and (name of association) are delighted to dedicate today's game to fair play and to call on all players, coaches, officials and fans in (name of country) around the world to play fair on as well as off the pitch, to lead by example and to be guided in their behavior by fairness, neutrality and solidarity. So let's commit to fair play with the captains.

Associations around the world support the FIFA campaign for fair play on and off the pitch, which is accompanied by activities ranging from grassroots to top-level football. In Europe, UEFA joined the FIFA Fair Play Days for its games in 2010 with its "Respect" campaign. The 14th FIFA Fair Play Days will take place on the match days from September 3rd to 7th in 2010.

criticism

The FIFA criticism is that they themselves "and fair play off the court" did not comply with the demand for.
