Television and cinema engineering company

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The television and cinema technology society (FKTG) is one of the oldest technology associations in Germany . It emerged from two predecessor organizations, the German Kinotechnical Society (DKG) , founded in 1920 , and the Television Technology Society , founded in 1952. The merger to form FKTG took place on October 9, 1972.

The main goal of the association is to offer all those working in the television and film industry and all scientists , engineers and technicians interested in these fields a basis for the exchange of ideas and experience and thus to promote these technical areas. The official organ of the company is the magazine TV and Kinotechnik (FKT).

Symposia

The highlight of the activities is the international symposium, which takes place every two years at different locations and which thematically covers all areas of television and cinema technology . New research and development results will be presented and trends and further developments will be discussed in the lectures, in some cases also in panel discussions and demonstrations . The high level of professional competence at this four-day event has been recognized for years not only in Germany but also abroad. For the first time at the annual conference in Nuremberg in 1994, the theoretical part was supplemented with a small highlight forum, where products were shown that are based on the knowledge and technologies discussed in the lecture part.

The supporting program of this event does justice to the possibilities of personal contact with numerous excursions , company tours , etc. Many FKTG members meet for a social evening during the conference. The annual conference is typically attended by around 500 professionals. For participation in the annual conference, a conference fee will be charged to cover the costs of the event. FKTG members pay a significantly reduced price compared to non-members.
