The Fudbalski Klub Laktaši is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football club from Laktaši in the Republika Srpska . The club currently plays in the third highest division of Bosnia and Herzegovina , the Druga Liga RS . The club colors are blue-white-red.

General

The club was founded in 1974 and plays in the Gradski Stadion Laktaši, which has a capacity of 5,000. In the 2007/08 season, the team was promoted tenth in the Bosnian first division.

The club is sponsored and financed by the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik , which explains the rapid rise from the 3rd division to the 1st division.

The club's goal is to become champions, for which a five-year contract was signed in spring 2008 with the Brazilian Perreira da Silva, who previously played for the Brazilian top club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . The move cost the club 1.5 million euros, which is a record amount in Bosnia. In addition, the dribbling artist Simbasi, directly from Zambia , and the brawny striker Hamada (native Somali ) from Dubai were brought in.

During the winter break of the 2009/10 season, the club signed the German coach Thomas Geist , who had previously looked after SV Sonsbeck in the regional league . Despite all efforts, the club rose after the end of the following half series in the Prva Liga (second highest division).
