FMC Technologies was an American oil service company headquartered in Houston , Texas , which was spun off from FMC Corporation in 2000 . The offer included systems for subsea oil production (subsea systems), measurement technology and drilling equipment.
For subsea systems and ROVs , FMC competed with OneSubsea , GE Oil & Gas, Aker Solutions and Dril-Quip . In fluid technology, the main competitors were Cameron International , Weir Oil & Gas, GE Oil & Gas and Gardner Denver .
FMC Technologies merged with the French plant manufacturer Technip in 2017 to become TechnipFMC .
