The FV Wettin Plauen was a football club in the German Empire with headquarters in what is now the Saxon town of Plauen in the Vogtland district .
history
The club went into the 1907/08 season in the game operations of the Gauliga Vogtland in the VMBV , which was first class at that time. Also in this season the team landed in first place with 18: 2 points and qualified for the finals for the Central German Championship. In the quarterfinals, however, they were defeated there in Chemnitz against Hallescher FC 1896 with 0: 5. In the autumn of 1911, the club then merged with Hubertia Plauen to form SpVgg 1909 Plauen , but from the 1914/15 season to the 1916/17 season they competed again under the old name.
