Fabian Macaulay Senninger (born January 25, 1996 in Berlin ) is a German - Nigerian soccer player .

Career

Senninger started playing soccer at SC Staaken . In 2012 he moved to Hertha Zehlendorf's youth department . From 2015 to 2016 he completed a year at the Nike Academy in England before moving to the second team from Hannover 96 in the Regionalliga in 2016 , where he signed a two-year contract until 2018. After a season with 28 appearances, Senninger was awarded to the newly promoted third division SV Meppen after the contract extension in Hanover until 2020 . He made his debut for Meppen in the 3-0 defeat against Preußen Münster on matchday two of the 2017/18 season , when he came on for Marius Kleinsorge in the 63rd minute .

National team

Senninger is eligible to play for Germany and Nigeria due to his Nigerian roots. In December 2016, Senninger announced that he would play for Nigeria in the future. For the Africa Cup 2017, however, it has not yet been considered by the Nigerian national coach Gernot Rohr .
