Fabio Turchi (born July 24, 1993 in Florence ) is an Italian professional cruiserweight boxer . As an amateur, he boxed in the heavyweight division .
successes
He won a bronze medal at the 2010 World Youth Championships in Baku . He was then qualified for the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , where he won the silver medal.
In the elite class he was Italian champion in 2012 and 2013, won the Mediterranean Games in Mersin in 2013 by beating Josip Filipi in the final and the silver medal at the 2014 Military World Championships in Almaty .
He made his debut as a professional in October 2015 and won the Italian cruiserweight championship in December 2016. In July 2017 he also won the WBC International Silver title , which he was able to defend twice. In April 2019 he secured the WBC International title , which he lost to Tommy McCarthy in his first title defense .
