Fabio Ursillo

Fabio Ursillo (* late 17th century in Rome ; † 1759 Tournai ) was an Italian composer and lutenist .

Life

Ursillo stayed in Rome around 1720 . A short time later he met Count Franz Ernst von Salm-Reifferscheidt (1698–1770) there or in Naples . When he became Bishop of Tournai in 1725 , he remained in his service. Ursillo changed jobs frequently, he worked in France from 1730, returned to the service of the Bishop of Tournai in 1733, worked at the court of Württemberg from 1744, and returned to Tournai from 1746. The bishop guaranteed him an annual salary of £ 1,200 from that date, plus accommodation, food, lamp oil, and clothing.
