Life

Laurenti graduated from the Art Institute in Pomezia and switched from radio, where he had directed, first to New York , where he made his first short film, and then to Joe D'Amato's film company, for which he made two horror films under the pseudonym Martin Newlin which suffered from the production restrictions of the time, but showed technical adeptness. Back in Italy, he worked for the RAI . In 1994, the Avati brothers created the thriller La stanza accanto under their own name , which Laurenti shot in the USA . The same team produced Voci notturne and other works for television, such as La fine dei giochi dealing with a lost childhood or, like Bianco e nero , the subject of racial hatred. In the new millennium, Laurenti increasingly turned to documentary films.
