Fachwerkkotten Oberdreispringen
The Fachwerkkotten Oberdreispringen is the old house of a family of miners. It is located in Bergisch Gladbach in the Bärbroich district , Oberdreispringen 29. It was built around 1880–1890. At that time, the directly neighboring Berzelius mine had only just been fully operational for around 30 years, as were the other mines in the Bensberg ore district . The man was employed there as head tusk .
Building description
The small Kotten is a half-timbered house with a gable roof , lattice windows and a wooden entrance door. Some of the windows have shutters . The lower room was both a living room and a kitchen. It has a wooden floor and a Cologne ceiling . A wooden staircase leads to the bedroom in the attic.

The half-timbered cottage is entered as monument no. 184 in the list of architectural monuments in Bergisch Gladbach . The entry was made because it is one of the last, well-preserved relics in the mining area of Bergisch Gladbach, which testifies to the living and working conditions of the simple miners. The adjacent mine field of the Berzelius mine is entered under No. 22 in the list of archaeological monuments in Bergisch Gladbach .
