Drive (Worms-Rheindürkheim)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Das Fahrt (also Rheindürkheimer Fahrt ) is a residential area in the south of the Worms district of Rheindürkheim . As a result of the designation of commercial areas in the second half of the 20th century, the town originally located about 1 km south of Rheindürkheim has largely grown together with Rheindürkheim today. It is named after the ferry to Nordheim which operated here until 1894 ; Today there is a so-called NATO ramp at the ferry station .

Until 1467, the journey, like Rheindürkheim and the Mückenhäuser Hof, belonged to the Leiningers , most recently to the older Dagsburg line. After their extinction, these places fell jointly to the Hochstift Worms and the Electoral Palatinate . When the condominium was dissolved in 1705, Rheindürkheim came to the Hochstift, while the journey as a customs and ferry station and the Mückenhäuser Hof went to the Electoral Palatinate. With the creation of the Département du Mont-Tonnerre in 1798, the majority of the journey to Rheindürkheim was incorporated, while a small part of the area came to Osthofen . Only with the incorporation of Rheindürkheim into Worms in 1969 were both parts of the journey merged again.
