Falk Gernegroß

Falk Gernegroß (* 1973 in Marienberg ) is a German painter.

Life

Gernegroß completed an apprenticeship as a stone sculptor in Leipzig from 1994 to 1997. Since 2001 he has been studying at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig , from 2003 to 2005 in the painting class with Arno Rink and from 2005 to 2008 in the painting class with Neo Rauch , where he obtained a painting diploma in 2008.

His representational and figurative painting, often with a surreal touch, is counted among the tendencies of the New Leipzig School .

Falk Gernegroß lives and works in Leipzig .
