Falko Behrendt

Friedrich Richard Falko Behrendt (born May 11, 1951 in Torgelow ) is a freelance painter and graphic artist .

biography

After attending the Disterweg School (Polytechnische Oberschule) and the Kopernikus Oberschule, Behrendt passed his Abitur and also completed an apprenticeship as a fitter. In 1970 he began studying traffic cybernetics at the Dresden Transport University, and in 1971 he moved to the Dresden University of Fine Arts, where he studied with Gerhardt Kettner , Herbert Kunze and Günter Horlbeck . In 1975 he graduated as a painter and graphic artist and moved to Neubrandenburg. He has lived and worked in Lübeck since 1991. He is a member of the Association for Original Etching .

  • 1990: Scholarship from the Dr. Hans Hoch Foundation in Neumünster; Graphics award from the Eisenturm art association in Mainz
  • 1999: Graphics Prize of the International Senefelder Foundation
