Famara RI Jammeh

Famara RI Jammeh is a Gambian politician.

Life

Jammeh was from 1996 Inspector General of Police ( English Inspector General of Police , IGP), until in October 1998 by President Yahya Jammeh deposed and as Commissioner Western Division was used. He was succeeded as police chief by Pa Sallah Jagne .

In September 2000, Jammeh was appointed as chairman of the local council of the municipality Kanifing ( English kanifing Council , KMC used) after the previous holder of the office, Abdoulie Conteh , was surprisingly suspended from his post. Less than three days after his suspension, Conteh was reinstated as chairman of the local council.

Jammeh was used as Commissioner until 2001, then he was back for the police when police advisers ( English police adviser ), active. He held this position until March 2010, when he was succeeded by Edward Gomez .
