Fanny Borschitzky
Fanny (or Fanni) Borschitzky (born April 25, 1853 in Krummwasser , Moravia ; † November 15, 1937 in Vienna ) was a communal teacher in Vienna and editor and publisher of the Österreichische Lehrerinnen-Zeitung , the organ of the association of teachers in Austria .
life and work
Fanny Borschitzky was honorary president of the First Association of Austrian Female Teachers during the “period of the rise of Austrian female teachers from legal minority to equality with male colleagues”. Borschitzky, together with President Marie Schwarz, played a key role in this development and wrote numerous articles “for the 'good law' of teachers”.
