criticism
The e-zine Laut.de rated Fantastic Damage with four out of a possible five points. In the review by Stefan Johannesberg, the productions “ made of the ornate old school drums, the bulky electro sounds, dirty scratch attacks and eerie sample sequences ” are praised, which resemble the beats that EL-P had already produced as part of Company Flow . The pieces on the album combine “ beauty and madness ”. The songs Deep Space Nine Mm , Truancy , Lazerfaces Warning or Stepfather Victory convey “ no superficial feelings via sticky baroque strings ”, but “ true, hard life with its rare, beautiful moments ”.
