Farshad Bashir
Farshad Bashir (born January 14, 1988 in Kabul , Afghanistan ) is a Dutch politician of the Socialist Partij .
Life
His father worked as a journalist in Afghanistan. After the Taliban seized power, Farshad Bashir's parents fled to the Netherlands, where they were granted asylum. Bashir studied mathematics and physics at the University of Groningen and law at the University of Leiden . From 2006 to 2008 he was a member of the Leeuwarden local council . From 2008 to 2017 Bashir was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General for the Socialist Party.
