Farshad Nasrollahi

Farshad Nasrollahi (born June 5, 1977 in Shahr-e Kord , Iran ) is an architect .

He graduated from Yazd State University with a Masters degree in Architecture in 2002 . From 2004 to 2009 he did his doctorate at the Technical University of Berlin on the subject of “Climate and energy-efficient housing in the continental climate”. Farshad Nasrollahi worked from 2008 to 2013 as a research assistant in the "Building Technology and Design" department at the TU Berlin in the research project "Young Cities", which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research .

His professional experience includes teaching at the TU Berlin (MA Architecture), TU Berlin - Campus El Gouna (MSc. Energy Engineering and MSc. Urban Development), Isfahan Art University (BA and MA Architecture, PhD Architecture and PhD Urban Development), and at the Ilam University (MSc. Architecture and Energy).

Nasrollahi worked as an energy expert in international architecture and implementation competitions. Since August 2013 he has been working as a teaching and research assistant in the "Supply Planning and Supply Technology" (VPT) department at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Development at the UdK Berlin . Between April and September 2014 (SS 2014) he was a visiting professor in the VPT department.

He has received several awards for his activities in the field of "energy-efficient architecture":

  • 2011: Best Energy Researcher of the Year 2011 (Iranian Ministry of Oil)
  • 2011: Best PhD Dissertation Award in the field of Energy Conservation (National Energy Committee of Iran / Iranian Ministry of Petroleum / Ministry of Energy)
  • 2009: DAAD Prize (DAAD / TU Berlin)
  • 2002: Highest Rank for the MA Thesis (Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University / Iranian Art Academy).
