Farul nou de la Sulina ( German New Lighthouse of Sulina ) is a lighthouse ( Romanian Farul ) in Romania . It stands on an artificial island and describes the approach to the Sulinaarm , the middle branch of the Danube into the Black Sea .

The 47.2 m high reinforced concrete tower stands on a two-story basement , which also houses traffic safety . The beacon has a fire height m of 49 and as identifier are shown with a return of 16.2 seconds (Fl (3) W.16.2s) three white flashes. The range is 19 nautical miles .
The station, which replaced the Farul Comisiei Europene a Dunării de la Sulina in 1983 , can only be reached by boat. It is also equipped with a surveillance radar , a radar response beacon (Racon) and the Automatic Identification System (AIS).
