Fata Salkunič (born March 9, 1991 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian soccer player .
Career
society
Salkunič started her career in Slovenia with ŽNK Krka Nove Mesto. For the 2006/2007 season she moved to ŽNK Maribor and scored three goals in 17 games. After her first professional season she left Maribor and joined ŽNK Krka . In Krka, she scored 30 goals in 32 games in two seasons before signing with Hamburger SV in summer 2009 . The midfielder made her debut for Hamburger SV on May 9, 2010 against Tennis Borussia Berlin . After just one season, she moved to Switzerland for FC Basel in August 2010 . In September 2011 she moved to FF USV Jena . On January 26, 2012, the contract with the FF USV Jena was terminated, she returned to Slovenia to her home club ŽNK Krka Nove Mesto. In Slovenia , she dissolved her contract after two months and moved to the Serbian first division club Napredak Krusevac in March 2012 . In August 2013, she left Serbia and moved to Greece in the Pan-Hellenic Women's Football Championship at Akademia Elpides Karditsas 94. In summer 2015, she moved to Olympiakos Karditsas within Greece . After one season she moved from Olympiakos Karditsas to AE Larisa .
International
Salkunič is a national player for Slovenia and previously played for the U-19s and U-17s in her country.
Coaching career
Since May 2016 Salkunič has been assistant trainer at the Olympiacos Soccer School of Karditsa.
