Faudel
Faudel ( Arabic فضيل; * June 6, 1978 in Mantes-la-Jolie near Paris as Faudel Belloua,فضيل بيلوى) is a Franco-Algerian Raï musician and actor.
Life
Faudel was born in the Paris suburb of Mantes-la-Jolie, but grew up in Val-Fourré . His father, who was born in Chlef, Algeria, worked as a factory worker. His mother was born in Hennaya (Algeria) and worked as a cleaning lady. You have eight boys. Faudel's brother Farès is also a musician. Faudel is considered one of the most important contemporary Algerian interpreters and is often affectionately referred to as "petit prince du Raï". His debut album, Baida , made him famous in a flash. Among other things, he published the live album 1 2 3 Soleils together with Cheb Khaled and Rachid Taha .
Faudel is friends with Nicolas Sarkozy and supported him in the 2007 election campaign for the French presidency.
