Faulwies

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Faulwies is a deserted area in the municipality of Lappersdorf in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg and was part of the municipality of Hainsacker .

The wasteland was on a cleared island 2.5 kilometers north of Hainsacker and a good kilometer east of Schwaighausen .

It is listed in the list of monuments under the file number D-3-6938-1076 as a protected ground monument "Medieval and early modern courtyard deserted Faulwies ."

In 1831 the place is mentioned by JA Eisenmann as "a wasteland with 7 inhabitants in the Regenstauf district court and half an hour from the Hainsacker parish, where it belongs". The last time in the 1950 census, eight residents were found in a residential building. In the censuses of 1961 and 1970 the place was determined to be uninhabited , in 1987 it is no longer listed.

Today there is a group of trees on the site of the homestead. The way there still exists in its original position. The field name Lazy Meadow and the south to Lazy Meadow Height remember the location.
