European Fistball Cup 1966

The 1966 Men's Fistball European Cup on the field was the third edition of the European Cup competition for national champions. It took place on the weekend of 24./25. September 1966 in Widnau ( Switzerland ).

Participant and venue of the 1966 European Cup

The participants were Chemie Zeitz as GDR champion , TuS Hilden as national champion of the Federal Republic of Germany , Austria's champion ATSV Linz , Swiss champion TV Arbon and SSV Bozen as title holder of Italy . The GDR master participated again after the dispute between the associations of the FRG and the GDR over the use of the national colors and association logos on the jerseys was settled. Second half

The top three in the main round played a second round among themselves.
In the decisive game, the runner-up in the competition, the West German title holder TuS Hilden, was defeated with 33:29. In the preliminary round there had already been a 34:32 win for Chemie Zeitz when the two teams met for the first time.
