The 6th women's fistball world championship took place from July 30th to August 3rd, 2014 in Dresden ( Germany ). It was the first time that Germany hosted the women's fistball world championship .
The German women's national team had received three gold medals and one silver and one bronze medal each at the previous world championships. The defending champion was the Brazilian national team, which won gold at the 2010 edition in Chile . The games were under the patronage of the International Fistball Association (IFA).
