The 4th women's fistball world championship took place in 2006 in Jona ( Switzerland ). This was the first time that Switzerland hosted the women's fistball world championship .

Attendees

For the first time, women's national teams from four continents took part in a women's world championship . It was the first time that the women’s national team from Namibia took part in a World Cup.
