Fausto Dávila

Fausto Dávila (* 1858 ; † November 28, 1928 ) was President of Honduras from March 27 to March 31, 1924 .

Life

General Fausto Dávila was the stepbrother of Miguel R. Dávila .

In 1906 Dávila was a member of parliament for the Department de Santa Bárbara and chairman of the parliament. In the government cabinet of Francisco Bertrand 1911–1912 and in the government cabinet of Miguel Paz Barahona , Fausto Dávila was Foreign Minister.

In 1924, after the death of dictator Rafael López Gutiérrez, he was temporarily president of the state while Tiburcio Carías Andino had already initiated his takeover. In 1928 Dávila was with Mariano Vásquez a delegate for Honduras at the VI Conferencia Internacional Americana in Habana. He was a leading conservative advocate and benefited the United Fruit Company in Honduras.
