Career

Stratford, who came to ski jumping as a child and later started for the New York Ski Education Foundation , gained her first competitive experience in junior competitions at the national level. So she reached third place behind Nina Lussi and her sister Danielle Lussi in the Springer Tour in Lake Placid in March 2005 . In October 2005 she was registered for the ski jumping Continental Cup for the first time , but in the end she did not start.

In summer 2006 she started at the Fourth of July in Lake Placid. She started not only as a special jumper, but also as a Nordic combined athlete. After failing to assert herself in cross-country skiing , she only finished fifth in the end. In the special jumpers she was able to achieve second place in a small starting field. On August 28, 2007 she finally made her debut in the Continental Cup at the same place and reached 27th place on the normal hill of the MacKenzie Intervale Ski Jumping Complex and thus her first four Continental Cup points. In the second competition on the following day she was also successful in 26th. Since it was their only competitions in the Continental Cup, it was only enough to finish 67th overall in the 2006/07 season .
