Faysal Dağlı

Faysal Dağlı (born January 4, 1966 in Silvan , Turkey ) is a Kurdish journalist and writer.

Life

Faysal Dağlı was born in Diyarbakır Province . Dağlı started writing for newspapers and magazines at a young age. He studied literature and Turkish studies at the Tigris University of Diyarbakır . At the beginning of 1994 he settled in Germany .

Since 1996 he has been working on documentaries dealing with the historical background of Kurdistan . He also worked as a screenwriter for a series for a while. So far he has written seven books. He wrote three of the works in Turkish and the others in Kurdish .

From mid-2009 to the beginning of 2010, Faysal Dağlı was temporarily editor-in-chief of the Kurdish weekly newspaper "Rûdaw" and, until June 2010, of the Kurdish edition of Le Monde Diplomatique.
