The Feeling is a five-piece British pop and soft rock band.

Band history

Paul Stewart and the two Jeremiah brothers Kevin and Ciaran knew each other from school in Horsham in south east England and they made music together as early as the 1990s. Richard Jones and London-based Dan Gillespie Sells joined the trio in college. Most of them worked as session musicians and in winter they also played as a party band in a French winter sports area as The Feeling .

In addition to the party standards, Gillespie Sells' own songs gradually emerged. In the mid-2000s, they were finally signed by Universal and released their first singles. With Sewn they had an international hit in 2006, which resulted in the equally successful start of their debut album Twelve Stops and Home . In their homeland, the album reached number 2 on the charts and was certified platinum (over 300,000 copies sold). Her first three singles were also able to place in the top 10 in Great Britain. Their catchy pop made them the ideal airplay band and in 2006 they were the most played performers on English radio. They have received several awards, including the Ivor Novello Award and were nominated for BRIT Awards .

After extensive touring with over 200 concerts, which also took her to the United States and where her debut album at least made it to number 20 in the Top Heatseekers' charts, the second album Join with Us followed in 2008 . The pre-release single I Thought It Was Over was another top 10 hit and the album even managed to push its way to the top of the charts .

In 2011 The Feeling recorded an acoustic version of some of their songs as part of the Burberry Acoustics in Abbey Road Studios . The fashion house used the song Rosé as music for the Burberry Body campaign with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley .
