The Felco SA based in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane (municipality Val-de-Ruz ) is an international Swiss manufacturer of garden - and wire cutters . The company produces over a million scissors annually and exports 90 percent of them to over 100 countries. It is the world leader in the professional scissors market. The family company, founded in 1945 by Félix Flisch, employs around 140 people and generated sales of 41 million Swiss francs in 2009/10.
Field of activity
In its factory in Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane, Felco manufactures one- and two-handed tree , vine and garden shears in different versions, including mirror-inverted models for left-handers and scissors with a roll handle (formerly Felco 3, now Felco 7), the Prevent skin blisters from frequent cutting. The scissors are considered robust and durable. The company also produces pneumatic and electric pruning shears, saws and one- and two-hand cable shears . In addition, Felco produces all the spare parts for this, including blades and counterblades that are no longer riveted in today's scissors, but are screwed and can be replaced without a cutler .
