Felicitas Pauss

Felicitas Pauss (born March 26, 1951 in Vorau , Styria) is an Austrian physicist . She is a full professor for experimental particle physics at the Institute for Particle Physics (IPP) at ETH Zurich . Astroparticle physics is one of her main areas of research .

Felicitas Pauss studied theoretical physics and mathematics at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz . From 1978 to 1983 she was employed at the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich and then until 1991 at CERN . There she continues to do research and is jointly responsible for the planning and construction of the CMS detector. She also works on the MAGIC telescope on La Palma.
