Feliks Rogoziński
Feliks Rogoziński (* 1879 , † January 10, 1940 in Sachsenhausen concentration camp , Oranienburg ) was a Polish physiologist and expert on pet nutrition.
Life
At Warsaw University he studied from 1897 to 1901 subjects at the Faculty of Natural History. In 1901 he achieved the status of a candidate in physical-mathematical sciences. As a scientific assistant at the chair for animal breeding and dairy farming, he worked at the Jagiellonian University (JU) in Krakow from 1903 .
The doctorate to Dr. phil. He obtained it in 1905. Studies to deepen his knowledge took him to Strasbourg and Berlin from 1905 to 1907. In 1910 he was able to complete his habilitation so that he could take a position as a private lecturer in physiology and nutrition for pets. He then took up postgraduate studies in Heidelberg and Paris from 1910 to 1911.
He was appointed adjunct professor in 1916. At the JU he took over the chair for physiology and nutrition of domestic animals as an associate professor in 1917. From 1920 to 1920 he headed the Institute for Animal Breeding and Dairy Farming at the JU. He assumed the office of dean from 1926 to 1927 and from 1937 to 1938 at the Faculty of Agriculture at the JU.
He was accepted as a corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAU) in 1927 , and from 1931 as a full member. As part of the Krakow special campaign , he was arrested on Monday, November 6, 1939, by SS-Sturmbannführer Bruno Müller and over 100 professors and deported to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp . He died there on January 10, 1940, presumably as a result of cancer.
