Felix Bernard (theologian)

Felix Bernard (* 1955 in Quakenbrück ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied theology and economics in Münster and Bonn and was ordained a priest in 1985 in Osnabrück . In 1986 he received his doctorate in canon law. From 1986 to 1998 he worked, among other things, as a religion teacher and as a lecturer for canon law at the University of Osnabrück and the University of Vechta . In 1998 he took over the management of the Lower Saxony Catholic Office , which acts as a contact point for the three Lower Saxony dioceses of Hildesheim , Osnabrück and the official district of Vechta towards the Lower Saxony state government. In the same year he became honorary professor for canon law at the University of Osnabrück. Pope John Paul II named him Honorary Prelate of His Holiness in 2004 . He is the rector of the St. Paulus grammar school church in Osnabrück.
