Felix Gundacker

Felix Gundacker (* 1960 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian genealogist .

Life

Gundacker was born as the son of Felix Gundacker and his wife Maria. Wimmer was born and spent his childhood in his home town of Pöchlarn .

In 1979 he passed the high school diploma at the higher technical college in Krems, specializing in civil engineering , and then worked as a structural engineer and construction technician until 1985 , which earned him the title of " engineer ".

From 1982 to 1993 he worked in the IT field and began working as a professional genealogist in 1989. In 1992 Gundacker became managing director of the " Institute for Historical Family Research (IHFF) " and has been the project manager of " GenTeam " since 2009 .

The importance of Gundacker is based on his numerous publications as a basis for science and research and the establishment of one of the largest European genealogical databases. He regularly lectures at Austrian adult education centers on the theme "Genealogy" and organized workshops such as on " Kurrent -Read". Gundacker became internationally known for his research on the Austrian roots of the former Foreign Minister of the USA , John Kerry and the family ties of the former Governor of Lower Austria Erwin Pröll to Franziska Rhee-Donner , the wife of the former first South Korean President Rhee Syng-man .

Gundacker lives in Vienna, has been married to his wife Isolde since 1986 and has two children.
