Felix Hess (theologian)
Felix Hess (born December 5, 1742 in Zurich ; † March 3, 1768 ibid) was a Swiss theologian .
He was a nephew of Johann Jakob Bodmer . In 1763 he received his doctorate in Zurich. In 1763 he traveled with Johann Kaspar Lavater to Barth in Swedish Pomerania to see the Enlightenment theologian Johann Joachim Spalding . Hess turned against Socinians ( anti-Trinitarians ) and the Moravian Brethren . He advocated an orthodox, biblical Christianity that incorporated reason.
