Felix König (born October 26, 1990 ) is a former German handball player who was most recently under contract with Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim .

Career

König learned to play handball at his home club JSG Balingen-Weilstetten , where he was active until 2007. In the same year, Felix König moved to HBW Balingen-Weilstetten on a free transfer, where he initially signed a two-year contract . In 2009 he extended this for another five years. König played his first game for HBW in the 2009/10 season . In the following season, König grew to become a top performer in his team and was on the field 27 times in the 2011/12 season . For the 2017/18 season he moved to the second division club SG BBM Bietigheim . With Bietigheim he rose to the Bundesliga in 2018. He ended his career after the 2018/19 season.

König also ran several times for various junior national teams. He was European Youth Champion in 2008 and World Junior Champion in 2011.
