Felix Platter (born August 1, 1605 in Basel ; † June 3, 1671 ibid) was a Swiss physician and naturalist .
Felix Platter is the son of Thomas Platter the younger and nephew of the doctor Felix Platter . He studied at the Universities of Basel, Montpellier, England and Leiden. In 1629 he was promoted to Dr. med. doctorate and opened a doctor's office. From 1651 to 1652 he was rector of the University of Basel .
