Felix von Cube (educational scientist)

Felix von Cube (born November 13, 1927 in Stuttgart ) is a German university professor and non-fiction author.

Life

Von Cube passed his Abitur at the Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart in summer 1946 and then studied mathematics and biology in Stuttgart and Tübingen . After the state examination (1951), he first worked as a teacher at high schools in Stuttgart. In 1957 he received his doctorate. rer. nat. In 1963 he received a professorship for general didactics at the University of Education in Berlin . In 1970 he moved to the University of Education in Bonn . From 1974 until his retirement he was professor for educational science at the University of Heidelberg . He published numerous books on cybernetic didactics . Among other things, he founded a theory on the principle of " flow " by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi . From 1973 to 1981 he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom .

In 1997 he was one of the founders of Prof. von Cube & Kollegen GmbH - BioLogik der Management und Weiterbildung , based in Heidelberg, which aims to motivate employees in commercial enterprises .

Awards

  • In 2006 he received the Wiener Schmidt Prize of the Society for Pedagogy together with the Society for Cybernetics.
