Feng Hao site

The Feng Hao site ( Chinese  豐鎬 遺址  /  丰镐 遗址 , Pinyin Fēng Hào Yízhǐ , English Feng and Hao Sites / Fenghao Site / Feng-Hao Sites ) are the ruins of two capitals from the time of the Western Zhou Dynasty - Fengjing丰 京 and Haojing镐京 - in Chang'an , Xi'an in the Chinese province of Shaanxi .

Fengyi City was built by King Wen and is located west of the Feng He (沣 河) River in Anyang County, Shaanxi Province.

The city of Haojing was built by King Wu , it is located east of the Feng He, on the northern edge of the ( inland depression ) Kunmingchi ū 池 (Kūnmíng Chí 昆明 池) of the Han period.

During archaeological research and excavations were found in the field of Feng Hao and palace ruins, foundations of rooms, storage caves, craft remains, burial sites and car Tombs ( 车马坑 , chēmǎkēng ).

The site is of great importance for the study of the Western Zhou Dynasty society.

Feng Hao site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-143) since 1961 .
