Ferdia Shaw

Ferdia Shaw (* around 2005 in Dublin ) is a young Irish actor .

Life

Ferdia Shaw was born in Dublin but lived in Kilkenny with his family for most of his life . He attends the local Gaelscoil Secondary School where students are taught in Irish. His grandfather was Robert Shaw , who starred in the leading role of Quint in his 30-year career as an actor, among others in Jaws.

He is a member of Young Irish Film Makers, an organization that supports young artists in their development and informs them about the technical aspects of filmmaking and with the help of which Shaw made his own short films. In December 2017, it was announced that Shaw had received the title role in Kenneth Branagh's film Artemis Fowl, based on the book of the same name by Eoin Colfer . The film was included in the program of the streaming service Disney + on June 12, 2020 .
