Ferdinand Eickel

Ferdinand Eickel (born October 10, 1897 in Herdringen , † October 5, 1980 in Arnsberg ) was a German district administrator.

Live and act

Ferdinand Eickel switched from primary school in Herdringen to the Capuchin monastery school in Strasbourg-Königshofen, followed by a visit to the Arnsberg grammar school . On June 30, 1915, he volunteered as a war volunteer, was dismissed as a deputy sergeant and subsequently appointed lieutenant in the reserve. After the war he graduated from high school, studied in Munich and Münster Economics and was in July 1925 economics graduate. Before he was appointed to represent the administration of the Büren District Office on October 16, 1934, Eickel was employed as a commercial clerk. Appointed provisional district administrator on October 22, 1935, he became the permanent district administrator of the Büren district on February 24, 1936 and remained in this office until 1945. After the war he was managing director of the Arnsberg district craftsmen. Eickel was a member of the SA and the NSDAP and from August 1, 1930 to September 1932 managing director of the NSDAP local group Gelsenkirchen and the Emscher-Lippe district. From 1931 to 1934 he was Gau treasurer and managing director in Gau Westfalen-Nord. After the war he was a member of the CDU .
