Ferdinand Jussel

Ferdinand Jussel (born August 26, 1906 in Lustenau , † August 10, 1957 in Bregenz ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ), commercial employee and embroidery manufacturer. From 1934 to 1938 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Jussel attended the elementary school in Lustenau Kirchdorf between 1913 and 1920 and subsequently attended the Lustenau commercial school . He worked professionally as an employee of the knitwear and bobbin lace production Ignaz König's Sons in Lustenau and later took a position as a manager of the Association of Vorarlberg Consumers in Dornbirn. He also worked for a large company in Cologne and had to do military service from 1938 to 1945 during the Second World War . In 1947, Jussel set up his own embroidery manufacturing and export company.

Politics and functions

Jussel was a member of the Christian Social Party and a member of the municipal council of Lustenau. In 1934 he was appointed as a professional representative for trade and transport by the Vorarlberg governor as a member of the state parliament and was a member of the state parliament during the period of the corporate state and Austrofascism from November 14, 1934 until the annexation of Austria on March 12, 1938. After the Second World War, Jussel took over the office of mayor of his home town of Lustenau from 1945 to 1946.

Jussel was a member of numerous clubs and organizations. He worked as a member of the Lustenau Music Association and was a member of the Lustenau Men's Choir, which he was also chairman of at times. He belonged to the SC Austria Lustenau , was a member of the Association of Embroidery Manufacturers and was involved in the Rheindorf church council. Furthermore, he was a member or chairman of the aid organization, was active as a member of the Marian Congregation for Young People and was involved in the Catholic men's movement. He was also a member and board member of the Dornbirner Sparkasse.

Private

Ferdinand Jussel was born the son of the farmer and hand ticker Gebhard Jussel (1875–1916) and his wife Katharina Hämmerle (1876–1938). His father died in Russia during the First World War. Ferdinand Jussel married Maria Hagen (1910–1999), born in Lustenau, on September 3, 1934, and in 1935 and 1937 fathered a daughter and 1949 fathered a son.
